Leavenworth Summer Theater Executive Director to retire

On the eve of our 25-year celebration, it is with sincere appreciation and gratitude that we announce Susan Hufman will be retiring at the end of this summer from her position as Executive Director. The Board wishes to thank Susan for her 23 years of service first as a Board Member and for the past 21 years as Producer and Executive Director.
Under her direction, more than 20,000 people now experience magical moments at a Leavenworth Summer Theater production every year. Over the past two decades, Leavenworth Summer Theater has grown to become an “Outdoor Destination Theater” offering Professional Quality Family Oriented Musicals.
Her tireless devotion and commitment to the success of our theater family has been unwavering. Hundreds of children from our community have had the opportunity to experience performing live on stage during her tenure and many have blossomed into professional careers in theater and related genres. Susan’s dedication has also been to our thousands of volunteers, performers, musicians and staff who over the years have made every season and performance a joy to experience.
As Susan retires from her Executive Director role we look forward to her rejoining our Board of Directors in the near future with a focus on Donor Relations.
