Posted

With a school record and conference and district titles under her belt, Julia Armstrong captured the final piece of hardware for her trophy case.

During the first day of the 1B/2B/1A Track and Field State Championships, Armstrong earned the first state title to the Kodiak track and field team after she won the pole vault with a mark of 11 feet and 3 inches.

She will have another opportunity to add another medal when she competes with the other Kodiaks in the 4x400 meter relay.

The pole vaulter was not the only Cascade trickster to make it to the podium. Landon Davies placed fifth in the men’s 1,600 meters with a time of 4 minutes and 29.19 seconds.
