Cascade cross country takes on Cashmere

Posted

The Cascade cross country team has had a notable season and continues to propel through the season, setting impressive placement in the tournaments. Tuesday, Oct. 16, Cascade hosted the meet against rivals, Cashmere at Enchantment Park.
The students looped around the path, which according to coach Dayle Massey, they had to change the course that is normally used due to construction. However, the difference didn't phase or slow the runners down.
The end results aligned with the excellent performance from the runners - Cascade boys team beat Cashmere with a score of 25 to 32. The Cascade girls team was beaten 20-43 but Zoe McDevitt did win the girls race by 3 seconds. As for the boys race, Landon Davies won by nearly 30 seconds.
"This was a good tune-up race for the league championships held next Tuesday at Walla Walla Point Park in Wenatchee," said Massey.
The season is rolling to an end, but the Cascade cross country team doesn't seem to be allowing it to slow them down in the final races.
