Davies takes third in 1,600 at Eastmont Twilight Invitational

Members of Cascade High School track and field team competed at the Eastmont Twilight Invitational on March 29. The meet included teams from the 4A classification is known for having some of the top distance runners in the state. 

Landon Davies took third in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4:32.52. Davies also placed 10th in the 3,200 with a time of 9:51.23.

Jace Seely finished ninth in the 400, clocking in at 54:83.

On the girls’ side, Julia Armstrong won the pole vault with a mark of 11 feet.

Zoey McDevitt finished sixth in the 1,600 meters with a time 5:43.11. Josie Brenan came in seventh, recording a 5:44.80.

Brenan took sixth in the 3,200 meters with 12:32.27 while McDevitt finished 10th in 12:56.16.

"I was very pleased with all the kids that completed," Head Coach Bill Davies said. "Our best do great against the big schools."

Cascade will travel to Brewster on April 9 to compete in the Brewster Relays.
