Kodiaks girls basketball drops nonleague game to Highland

The Cascade High School girls basketball team continued their season on Jan. 4 with a 47-29 nonleague loss to Highland.

The Kodiaks gained an early lead after outscoring the Scots, 12-7, in the first quarter. Cascade added six points in the next eight minutes to maintain a close lead heading into the second half.

Highland continued to chip away at the Kodiaks' lead throughout the second half with nine points in the third quarter, tying the game at 24-24. The Scots added 23 points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory. 

Cascade, 0-5 Caribou Trail League and 1-11 overall, returns to their home gym on Jan. 8 to play Chelan in a conference game.
