Chelan County agencies respond to vehicle fire

Local agencies responded to a vehicle fire on Chumstick Highway near Cascade High School on March 29.

Chelan County Fire District 3 firefighters received the call at around 1:15 p.m. and were on scene two minutes later. The Chelan County Sheriff's Office provided traffic control while firefighters were handling the incident. 

Chelan County Fire District 3 Assistant Chief Glenn Brautaset said the fire started in the vehicle's engine compartment. The blaze burned through the inside of the vehicle. There will be no further investigation of the incident. 

Crews were on scene 1:40 p.m. No injuries were reported.
