Leavenworth Welcomes Fire District #3 new appointees and promotions

Chelan County Fire District #3 held its inaugural Appointment Ceremony on Tuesday evening, June 19.
District administration appointed the following seasonal firefighters:
Christopher Lubenow, Juan Mora and Alexander Roberts. 
They will be responsible for projects such as hydrant testing and business
inspections, as well as home assessments and pre-fire planning when they are not engaged in training or firefighting.
Career firefighter Michael Smith was appointed as Coordinator for
approximately 40 volunteers.  Career firefighter Marcus Wells
was appointed as Primary Mechanic for the fleet of 14 apparatus. In
addition, Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal David Nalle was sworn in, assuming the position of retired William Horner.  Firefighters had their badges pinned on by friends and family and the event was well attended by local dignitaries.  Firefighters Wells, Smith and Deputy Chief Nalle will all be full-time, year around staff. A reception followed in the Community Room.
