Seattle skier rescued from Colchuk Lake

On the afternoon of Sunday, April 14 a small avalanche caused Shanna Hovertsen, 29 year old from Seattle, to be swept off her skies. She fell down the slope in an area near Colchuck Lake, according to a press release from Chelan County Sheriff's Office. Hovertsen twisted both of her knees and Chelan County Sheriff's office had to assist her to safety.
    Coming from Wenatchee, Chelan County Sheriff's Office helicopter crew landed near the patient and transported her to the National Fish Hatchery landing pad around at around 4:40 p.m. about three hours after the fall. Hovertsen was then transported to Cascade Medical Center and as since been in stable condition, according to the press release.
