Terry Burton Brender

Terry Burton Brender of Cashmere, Washington died on the 13th of June, 2017 in the company of his family and friends. Born to Stanley and Dorothy Brender in Leavenworth, Washington on the fifth of June, 1940, Terry earned an associate’s degree from Wenatchee Valley College and served in the U.S. Forest Service for three years. He married Peggy Hornbeck, his station manager’s daughter, in 1965. Following the Forestry Service, he went into several private ventures, owning and operating Superior Cedar Products and B&B Orchards. He married his second wife, Brenda Burch, in 1977, adopting her son Steven Cookson, Jr. Later, Terry and Brenda were blessed with two more children, Lance and Eric Brender. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, many of his closest friends and family count their hunts together in the Cascade Mountains as their happiest, and remember him as a friend to those from every circumstance. He is survived by his sister Deanna Smith, brother Louis Brender, his three sons, three daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren. All are welcome to attend his service at Ward’s Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth, Washington at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, the 21st of June, 2017, with internment at Mountain View Cemetery immediately following. Visitation will be held on 20th of June from 1 to 7 p.m. at Ward’s Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth.
