Heads up: Annual transmission line inspections start this week

  WENATCHEE, WA – Residents may see a helicopter flying low and slowly over high-voltage power lines starting Thursday, June 23. That’s a routine inspection conducted annually over Chelan PUD’s 330 miles of transmission lines – from Stevens Pass to Wenatchee, Palisades to Manson. The inspection flights will continue over the next couple of weeks, depending on weather conditions.
