Leavenworth Senior Center’s Meals Program is back

The Leavenworth Senior Center is excited to reintroduce their Mobile Meals Program along with a luncheon each Wednesday at the center.

 

The center has partnered with Okanogan Transport and Nutrition with funding from Aging and Adult Care for the meal program. Senior Center cook Deanne Waddle alongside Kathleen Cahill manages the weekly luncheons and posts the menu a week prior to each meal but does not handle the mobile meals program.

 

The center has also brought back music nights, square-dancing, and Bingo nights. They are also looking for volunteers who currently possess a food handler’s permit or those who can drive meals to seniors. Meals will be $6 each. Those interested should sign up directly at the Leavenworth Senior Center or call the center at 509-548-6666 by Tuesday morning before each meal.
