Letter to the Editor,

On behalf of the Leavenworth Rotary Club, Hands-On committee, we want to express our thanks to the partnerships that allowed us to repaint the Highway 2 wall on the East side of Leavenworth last week. The wall was dirty, and the paint had lifted in many places, but our Fire District 3 and their Captain, Kelly O'Brian quickly came to our aid and washed the wall making it ready for the paint. We also want to recognize the City of Leavenworth maintenance office and especially John Schons who cleared the way for us to work and provided all the materials and tools that we needed to get the job done. We hope the residents and visitors appreciate the new look on the wall.
