Link Transit’s Leavenworth Express route gets expanded service

WENATCHEE - Link Transit is set to significantly enhance its service schedule starting Jan. 2, aimed at improving accessibility and convenience for commuters across North Central Washington. Among the array of updates, the Leavenworth Express route emerges as a key highlight, with a substantial expansion to six round trips per weekday.

The January modifications encompass a variety of new services, increased frequency, and extended operational hours on multiple existing routes. Notable changes include additional trips during weekdays and weekends on various routes such as South Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Central Washington Hospital, Pybus Market/Walla Walla Point Park, and more.

A noteworthy enhancement involves implementing Sunday service on select routes, including Rock Island, Malaga, Waterville, and Chelan DART's new service from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on weekdays. Riders can access the updated schedule via the MyStop mobile app or acquire a copy from Link buses, Columbia Station, or designated service area locations.

These progressive adjustments align with Link Transit’s commitment to realizing the objectives outlined in Vision 2020, a strategic six-year plan initiated in 2020. Vision 2020, backed by a voter-approved sales tax increase in 2019, aims to elevate the transportation experience for the community.
