Stevens Pass announces new parking plan for 2024/25 winter season

STEVENS PASS – Stevens Pass announced plans to address parking challenges for the 2024/25 winter season with a strategy that includes both free and paid parking options during weekends and holidays. The initiative, aimed at improving the guest experience, will allocate 67 percent of parking spaces to be available for free on a first-come, first-served basis during peak times, while maintaining free parking across all lots on non-peak weekdays.

To manage the demand on weekends and during peak periods, 33 percent of the parking spaces in Lots G, A, B, and E will require reservations. This reserved parking aims to guarantee access to the mountain on its busiest days. The reservation fee will be $20 for vehicles with three or fewer occupants, with an incentive for carpooling: vehicles with four or more occupants, or a single adult and two children aged 12 and under, can reserve parking for free.

“We are committed to addressing challenges with parking and we’re making additional improvements to provide a better arrival experience for our guests,” said Ellen Galbraith, GM & VP of Stevens Pass. “We have the opportunity to eliminate the uncertainty of securing a parking space on our busiest days. Our goal is to improve the guest experience, and we’re taking action to offer several choices, with a combination of both free and  paid, reserved parking options. This plan allows our guests to choose their own arrival experience, whether it’s guaranteeing a spot in advance with reservations-based parking or utilizing one of our free first-come, first-served lots. After the improvement we saw this season with carpool-only lots, we anticipate an even greater efficiency with this new program.”
