Clarification from Cascade Veterinary Clinic Co-owner Dr. Zack Hambleton regarding Apprenticeship Program

It is true that we are unable to be accredited by the AVMA because we are a private business, and not an educational institution.  However, the argument from the AVMA is that a licensed tech through our program would not have license transferability is FALSE.  

Opponents have provided no evidence to support this claim, nor have opponents provided any data to show that there is an outflux of Washington State LVTs seeking licensure in other states.  Actually, many states still accept unstructured on-the-job training as a pathway to sitting for the Veterinary Technician National Exam.
