Holiday Care Boxes for deployed soldiers
The Cashmere American Legion Auxiliary #64 is looking for addresses of deployed soldiers to send holiday care boxes. If anyone has a loved one deployed or knows of one who would appreciate a care package from home and would share their address, please leave at the Cashmere Post Office or call Auxiliary President, Linda Ingraham, 509-679-0243. A collection box for donations of snacks and personal items will be at the post office until the first week in December. You can also call any auxiliary member for pickup. Please support our soldiers.

Fowl Play 5K

A chill event with avid runners, walkers, strollers, pets, people and pets in costumes. it's all for fun to kick off the holiday season. Red Barn Event: The Approach with Ingrid Backstrom
Join the Wenatchee River Institute and Leavenworth local and professional skier, Ingrid Backstrom for a talk and viewing of the film "The Approach", Thursday, December 9, 7 p.m. for the presentation. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a community social with local beer and wine available for purchase. The Approach film is an action-driven ski and snowboard film elevating women, adaptive skiers, and people of color. The Approach combines all kinds of skiing and riding in gorgeous locations throughout the west, and gives a glimpse into the wide variety of narratives behind why riding is important to each athlete, and their approach to the mountains and life. Events are now indoors in close quarters, only people who are vaccinated for COVID-19 (regardless of eligibility) may attend. You must wear a mask. Thank you for following this honor system. Windows will be open during the event (along with an air purifier operating), so please bring a layer to keep you warm. This is a free event, and no registration is required. Red Barn Event: Lowell Skoog, Written in the Snows
Wednesday, December 15 we will host Lowell Skoog, author of "Written in the Snows" for an evening of Northwest ski culture from past to present. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., for a community social with local beer and wine available for purchase and the presentation begins at 7 p.m. This is a free event, and no registration is required. Life Drawing at Collapse
Local artists join us for an Uninstructed Life Drawing Session at Collapse Contemporary Art Gallery in Wenatchee. Exhilarating, fast-paced sketching to longer poses from a live model in the medium of your choice. First session Wednesday, November 17, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., then bi-weekly sessions following. $40 per session. Limited seating.
