A Charm Walk & a Charming Cause

Posted

Cascade Medical Foundation (CMF) is well-known for its long-standing and well attended fundraisers, the Cascade Golf Classic and the Home and Garden Tour. However, the energetic board members don’t rest there; they’re always looking for more ways to engage the local community and visitors alike with a fun event that raises money for Cascade Medical, a rural critical access public hospital.

So, mark your calendars if you like treasure hunts, a bit of bling or both! On Saturday, September 24 for one day only, CMF is hosting the third annual Charm Walk. It was on hiatus during COVID, but now it’s back.

And back in style, because when board members walked around town looking for interested shop owners to get on board, they were blown away with the enthusiasm of 22 stores!

This means, when you and your friends participate for $20 each, you pick up your bracelet and a handy map at the CMF booth downtown near the gazebo, and then you go off in search of treasure. Each shop has one charm to pick up, and while you’re there, you’ll be charmed by the other fun wares.

With 22 charms, you might run out of room for them all on your bracelet, but you’ll enjoy exploring the best of downtown Leavenworth shops and adding the charms one by one.

Thanks to amazing community support, CMF just finished a hugely successful campaign to purchase cardiac monitors, e-bikes for the EMS crew to reach those injured on trails, and AEDs that have been placed in many community locations. The Charm Walk will kick off the next campaign for Cascade Medical’s top capital and programmatic needs.

The Charm Walk, by luck, is on the same day as the Autumn Leaf Parade. So, grab a friend or two, sign up for the Charm Walk and add purpose to your meanderings downtown before and after the parade. CMF would like to thank all these fabulous Charm Walk business partners. Cost: $20 per person, purchased the day of or ahead of time, online at: www.cascademedicalfoundation.org/fundraisers/charm-walk
