Leavenworth Library offers a free Leavenworth History walking tour with partners

Leavenworth Public Library, the Greater Leavenworth Museum, and the Bavarian Walking Tours of Leavenworth are partnering to host a Leavenworth History Walking Tour on Wednesday, December 28, from noon to 1 p.m. The tour will begin at the library and end with admission to the Greater Leavenworth Museum. Participants will enjoy a fun scavenger hunt along the way. Community members of all ages are welcome. The tour is free, but registration is required. Wear good walking shoes and bundle up. Learn more and register at www.ncwlibraries.org/leavenworth. Adult Social walking in the Festhalle

Walking times and days are Monday - Thursday from 7:15 a.m. - 9 a.m. (Note: we will BEGIN our fifth walking season in the middle of the week on Wednesday, January 4, and Thursday January 5.) There is no charge, all you need to bring is your smile and a dry pair of shoes. Please enter the Festhalle from Front Street (there are 3 Front Street entrances, please use the one in the middle). The street parking meters are not live until 9 a.m. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children at this time. Please call Sharon Waters for further information. 509-548-7939

The Leavenworth Women’s Exchange monthly luncheon

 The meeting will be held on Wednesday January 11, at noon at the Icicle Inn Restaurant, 505 Highway 2.The cost is $2o per person for members.  Lunch buffet, beverage, tax, and gratuity are included. Author Dr. Stephen Huffman will present a program titled “A Desperate Need:  A Treatment of Addiction”.
