Help feed our community’s hungry, strengthen community and celebrate the arts through the Upper Valley Empty Bowls Festival!  Come glaze a bowl with your friends, family, and community members this year at the Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort. Glazing Days begin on Friday, January 20 (12:00 pm-8:00 pm) and Saturday January 21-Tuesday January 24 (10:00 am-8:00 pm) in the Woodpecker Room at the Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort. Paint your own design on a bowl, then pick up your finished bowl at the community soup supper on Thursday, March 23 at the Leavenworth Festhalle.

You are welcome to pay for your bowl at the door, or you can pay online ahead of time and decorate your bowl when you arrive during the Glazing Days. To pay online, please go to www.uvemptybowls.org and click on the link.

All ages are welcome, no experience is necessary, and volunteers are on hand to offer advice. While at the glazing days, be sure to visit the table of local artists at work decorating beautiful bowls for the UV Empty Bowls Artist Bowl Auction in March

All proceeds from the Empty Bowls Festival are donated to purchase food at our local Community Cupboard food bank, and to fund small art grants to support local youth arts programs.  The festival is a true community event, with local restaurants and bakeries donating the soup and bread, Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort donating use of a room for the glazing event, and a small army of volunteers working behind the scenes. For more information, go to www.uvemptybowls.org, or call the UVMEND office at 548-0408.
