Save the date for the annual ‘Nutcracker Day’ event on Thursday, June 1 at the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum, 735 Front Street. On this day our community is invited to come to the Museum to see different nutcrackers made from different wood, metal, ivory, and more and from all over the world with some dated back centuries. Guests can crack nuts with antique nutcrackers, watch a video of the history of nutcrackers, children can go on a nutcracker hunt, and verify the Guinness Book of Record of 9103 nutcrackers. Enjoy the music of George’s Bavarian Drehorgel, and have a chance to win one of the hourly prizes donated by our local businesses.
