Cowles responds to Saliby

Hi Alex, good to hear from you again. I hope you are doing well in your recovery. In your letter of 7-14-21 You made many incorrect statements about socialism aka communism. Everything you wrote is provably false including your incorrect statements about me personally. You said that you are confused and asked me to correct you as you are usually wrong. Here goes. I am a retired San Diego county deputy sheriff. My retirement is the retired San Diego county employees retirement association. It is not publicly funded by taxes. It is a private retirement fund and is very solvent because of good capitalistic financial management and it is exempt from social security. No public funding here. Next you claim that my Navy service is socialistic. I do not know how you arrive at that conclusion. Since you asked, I will correct you. I did four tours of combat duty with the Navy SEAL teams in Viet Nam in the SEAL boat support unit. I can speak Vietnamese. Many of my Vietnamese friends totally abhor socialism / communism and they relate many horrible experiences under it. I do have a VA disability pension because of hearing loss due to gunfire and type 2 diabetes due to agent orange exposure. Do you really think this is an example of socialism /communism? I don't. America is not a socialist country yet, but your democrat party is pushing hard for it. There will be a big fight over this issue and we will win it. I suggest that you read and understand the constitution and especially the bill of rights because it best refutes your misinformed opinions regarding socialism/communism.

Capitalism, communism and socialism are not similar organizations like you claim. To prove my point just look at what is happening in Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Iran, Russia, China and all other totalitarian socialist/communist countries that are dictatorships that are abusing their citizens natural rights. History proves me right and you wrong. Socialism/communism always results in dictatorship and tyranny. The United States of America is the best country ever devised based on free market capitalism and constitutional rights, although we are not perfect - only Jesus Christ is perfect. Three hundred thousand white guys died in the civil war to stop the abomination of black slavery run by Muslims and your Democrat party and continued into the "Jim Crow" era by Democrats. Biden was good friends and a supporter of senator Jim Wright who was a Grand Kleagle of the Ku Klux Clan.  Biden has made many racist comments, but we forgive him because he is senile.

Alex, if you need any more of my corrections to clear up your confusion (liked you asked me for) you can always call me like you should have done before you wrote all of those wrong opinions in the newspaper, I am still in the phone book. God Bless.
