Community Foundation of NCW and Pybus University Present the Benefits of Giving

The Community Foundation of NCW is partnering with Pybus University for a special presentation, “Do Well by Doing Good: The Multifarious Benefits of Altruism” on Tuesday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the LocalTel Center in Pybus Market.

Drawing upon recent scientific evidence, this presentation will share the psychological, spiritual and health benefits of giving. It will also provide compelling information on the valuable role of philanthropy in training the next generation, inoculating them from “affluenza” and paving the way for more successful wealth transition. The presentation will provide the economic benefits of philanthropy in the U.S. and will illustrate these through case studies that show the power of smart giving strategies. Finally, the presentation will also share some inspiring stories of magnificent legacies left by ordinary people through their estates.

Presenter Lorraine del Pardo is principal of del Prado Philanthropy and Senior Vice President of Thompson & Associates. She specializes in values-based estate planning consulting and philanthropic planning and is a frequent speaker on topics related to philanthropy and purposeful estate plans.
