Cascade Medical Foundation Alters Fundraising Tack in Face of COVID-19

Leavenworth - Cascade Medical Foundation (CMF), a nonprofit with an all-volunteer board, raises funds for an annual campaign for important medical equipment to enhance the services of Cascade Medical. CMF does this through a variety of methods, including large and small events.

After observing the evolving COVID-19 crisis, listening to health experts’ recommendations, and with much discussion, the CMF board has decided to cancel these events for 2020:

1. CMF’s Charm Walk, scheduled for May 9-10. Now rescheduled for May 8-9, 2021.
2. Cascade Golf Classic, scheduled for June 22^nd. Now rescheduled for June 21, 2021.
3. CMF’s Home & Garden Tour, scheduled for August 29^th. Date TBD in 2021.

CMF will continue to pursue its campaign, namely $121,000 for safety equipment for the three Cascade Medical ambulances. However, in light of the more pressing challenges facing Cascade Medical, our community and our broad network of friends and supporters, this campaign has been converted to a two-year campaign, with hopes of completion in the fall of 2021.

In the meantime, CMF is incredibly grateful to the multitudes of individuals and businesses that have donated in a variety of ways, helping Cascade Medical be as prepared as possible for whatever comes in the following weeks.
