Cascade teacher passes away in accident

The Cascade School District announced the passing of high school teacher Erin Hagedorn.

According to a post on the district's Facebook page, Hagedorn was on vacation with her family in Idaho when she was killed  in an accident on July 8.

Dr. Maxwell Moholy from Cascade Medical Center will be at the high school Commons from 1-3 p.m. to support staff and students who are grieving.

In their statement, the school district wrote, "She (Hagedorn) was a beloved mom and wife, friend, colleague, teacher and valued member of the community."

Hagedorn is survived by her husband and two sons.

There is a GoFundMe page for the family, organized by Jared Harrison on behalf of the family. Funds raised through the account will go to support Hagedorn's husband and sons.
