North Central Regional Library is now NCW Libraries

Posted

This name change is an important part of the ongoing efforts to best serve the communities of North Central Washington. We believe our new name more accurately reflects the geographic area we serve and conveys that we operate many libraries throughout that region. We are proud to call North Central Washington home, and NCW Libraries embraces this unique place that we all have in common.

While the name and logo have changed, services have not!  You can still access the online services in the same way. Curbside pickup is now available in Chelan and Douglas Counties. And we look forward to serving you in our libraries just as soon as it is safe to do so.

You may be asking why are we rolling this out in the middle of a pandemic, and we think that’s a valid question. We adopted our 2019-2021 Strategic Plan early last year with the goal of shaping a library system that would evolve and grow alongside the communities we serve. We have already implemented many of the strategies in the plan.

You can order your books online at ncwlibraries.org or call 1-800-426-READ (7323) and pick up them up with curbside service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Tuesday-Thursday from 3-6:30 p.m.  STEM and craft kits are also available for the children once a week and adult craft kits are also available once a month.

Local  library phone numbers are Leavenworth, 548-7923, Peshastin, 548-7821 and Cashmere, 782-3314.

Curbside Pickup process is Easy.

1. Place library materials on hold, online or call your local library.

2. Wait for notification that your holds are ready, email, phone or text.

3. Check ncwlibraries.org to find out which days and times your location is open and look for curbside pick up signs.

4. Call to let them know you have arrivied, there are phone numbers on the signs.

5. Follow directions on safely picking up your items.
