Welcome sign gets fresh paint and some TLC

Way Back in 1996, the Chamber of Commerce asked DDS Robert Smith to design a sign for Leavenworth. It had to be very authentic. Dr. Bob relied on his observations and many trips to Bavaria. In 1996 I was that years Rotary President and our Rotary board took on the assignment to have that project for the year. Rotary has taken care of it ever since. Dr. Bob got busy in his garage to make plans and put it all together while assembling his friends to help: John Anderson, Harold Riese, Wally Aunan, New Blue Moon Galary for iron works. It was erected and dedicated in 1997 by the Leavenworth Rotary Club.
