Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest registration begins

Registration for one of the best kept secrets this side of the Cascades- the 16th Annual Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest, begins online, Thursday, Feb. 15 at 9 a.m. Adventure awaits as festival activities offer new and returning field trips for experienced birders and casual birding recreationalists that explore an array of habitats by boat, bus, boot, or bike. Our talented volunteer bird guides lead everything from rigorous, half- day, off- trail excursions to gentle walks, river rafting and even paddle boarding on the Wenatchee River. Not a birder? Nature lovers can come enjoy art classes, the Bird Fest Art Exhibition, and free family walks and activities that prove the Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest truly has something for everyone. Need more incentive? The keynote speaker, hosted by Icicle Creek Center for the Arts on Saturday, May 19, is the one and only birder and artist David Allen Sibley. The festival takes place May 17-20 and is hosted by Wenatchee River Institute at Barn Beach Reserve in Leavenworth. Registration is required for many trips, classes and activities and fill up quickly.
