Donald Joseph May, 82, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2022.
Don was born on September 27, 1940. He is survived by his nephews Gary Ping, Ken Johnson, Robert Ping and his niece Deanna Ping.
Don is preceded in death by his parents Adrian and Evelyn May and sister Jeanette Ping.
Don was known as “Don the Flower Guy” in Leavenworth, Washington in the 80’s and 90’s where he resided until he retired and began to travel. Don traveled everywhere from Washington state to Key West, Florida. Don enjoyed being outdoors, hiking and exploring new trails, local rivers, lakes and parks with his best friend and companion, his dog Aries. Don excelled at horticulture and educating himself and others on most native wildflowers. Don enjoyed reading any book he could get his hands on, especially history. Anyone who knew Don was touched by his kindness, humor, and mild temperament. He was truly a peacemaker and was always a source of positivity.
