Elizabeth (Betty) Miriam McMahon, age 83, passed away peacefully in Lacey, WA on
April 5, 2020 with family by her side. Elizabeth was born April 7, 1936 in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her family moved to Peshastin where she went to school and graduated from Peshastin Dryden High School. There she met
Terry J. McMahon and they were married on September 3, 1960. They raised their
family in Leavenworth and eventually settled in Lacey where the boys went to high
school. Betty loved to garden and plant flowers. Her yard was filled with flowers and
trees. She loved to watch old movies and collect them. She also loved to travel with
her family. She went on a cruise to Mexico with her boys, went to Whistler a lot with
her brother and sister, and she took many trips to Maui which she loved. The highlight of her life is when her oldest son Darren, wife Jill, and her granddaughters went to Ireland. Elizabeth loved spending time with her boys and their families. She loved her grandchildren and she was so proud of each and everyone of them.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Darren McMahon (Jill), Dwayne McMahon (Debbie),
Dennis McMahon (Niki). Elizabeth has six grandchildren: Megan, Jamie, Seneca, Kinna, Carson and Nathan. She has two great grandchildren, Waylon and Weston.
We hope to have a Celebration of Life later this summer or fall.
