GaeRe Clarke, age 81, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on September 15, 2021, following a prolonged battle to recover from the heart attack and subsequent strokes that she suffered in early July.  GaeRe was born on November 19, 1939, in Long Beach, California, to William Alvin Clarke and Audenchial Pauline (Higgins) Clarke.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Roseveare, and Christy of Frisco, Texas; her grandchildren Caleb, Ella, and Aaron Roseveare also of Frisco; and her sister and brother-in-law Rita Joye Dickerson, and husband Dan of Leavenworth, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service celebrating GaeRe’s life with be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine, Jackson, Morrow in Frisco, Texas.  Those who cannot be with us in person may join us remotely at Celebration of Life Service.

The first child of travelling salesman Alvin and his wife, Audenchial, GaeRe moved frequently with her family throughout her youth, making life-long friends Sandy Higgins and Patti White along the way.  After travelling from Long Beach to Highland Park, Texas, and many spots in between, the family eventually settled in Ballard, Washington.  GaeRe graduated from Ballard High School in 1958.

Fun-loving and feisty, GaeRe spent her young adult years working in ladies’ fashion at Fredrick & Nelson and in jewelry for dear friends Mike and Bernie Ovadia in Seattle.  In her spare time, GaeRe enjoyed success in the world of Powder Puff drag racing where she drove corvettes over ¼ and ½ mile tracks.  These passions - fun fashion, fine jewelry, and fast cars – would stay with her throughout her life.

Married in 1968, GaeRe give birth to her only child, son Daniel Clarke Roseveare in Seattle in 1969.  Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Tucson, Arizona where GaeRe began her career as a bank teller while her husband attended law school.  The family later moved to Glendale, Arizona, where she stayed home during Dan’s early school days before returning to First Interstate Bank where she worked in customer service and branch management.

Following her divorce in 1989, GaeRe returned to Ballard, Washington to help care for her aging father.  She lived and worked in banking there until 2008, when she retired to the Bavarian styled village of Leavenworth, Washington where she lived for the next eleven years in a home overlooking the town’s picturesque downtown.  In 2019, GaeRe moved a final time to Frisco, Texas to be closer to her son and grandchildren.

A devout follower of Jesus Christ, GaeRe was happiest spending time sharing her faith with friends, new and old.  She found joy in simple pleasures: picking the perfect watermelon, experimenting with essential oils, bonding with her canine companions Pepper and Pele.  And, of course, whether they were swimming in Patti’s pool, combing resale shops looking for tiny treasures, or watching her beloved Hallmark movies, GaeRe never grew tired of spending time with “her kids” – grandchildren Caleb, Ella, & Aaron.  To convey condolences or sign an online registry, please visit tjmfuneral.com
