Cascade School District hires new principal for Icicle River Middle School, Mr. James Swanson

Mr. Mike Janski is retiring from Cascade School District at the end of June. Cascade School District had 13 applicants for the position of middle school principal and were able to narrow them to three finalists. The three finalists each spent a full day in the district going through a formal interview process.  The interview committee consisted of three parents, three staff members, and three administrators.  Each day included a tour of the district, a formal interview, time with the Superintendent and Executive Director of Business and Operations, time with current and past middle school administrators, a staff meet and greet, and online staff and community forums. Then the interview committee met to make their final recommendation to the Superintendent. Mr. Swanson will begin his contract July 1, 2021.  CSD wishes a happy retirement to Mr. Janski and congratulations to Mr. Swanson!
