Historic cabin burns down in Lake Wenatchee

Posted

On November 20, an early Sunday morning fire destroyed a historic 1929 cabin in the 17500 block of North Shore Drive. Thankfully there were no injuries or deaths from the fire.

At the early hour, the structure fire was not noticed by neighbors until it was well involved. Responding crews protected nearby homes and managed the challenges of ice and temperatures in the low teens. With no hydrants nearby water tenders supplied suppression crews. The cause of the fire remains under investigation with the Chelan County Fire Marshal’s office.
