LEAVENWORTH – Dog Days of Summer, a dog-friendly community block party hosted by the Wenatchee River Institute and the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society’s Pets and People Outdoor program in partnership with the Nick McLean Real Estate Group, will return on Saturday, July 11.
The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m at the Wenatchee River Institute and will feature activities for dogs and their owners. Scheduled activities include a guided dog walk, a scavenger and a dog first-aid demonstration.
The annual gathering aims to bring community members and their pets together during the Dog Days of summer while encouraging outdoor recreation and responsible pet ownership. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with other dog owners and learn about resources available through local animal welfare organizations.
The Dog Days of Summer celebration is one of many community programs supported by the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society. The organization provides animal shelter services, adoption programs, lost-pet assistance, animal care and control services, and accessible veterinary care throughout the region.
