Peshastin Ice Cream Social

Peshastin Library’s annual Ice Cream Social on the lawn on July 31 from 7-9 p.m. Enjoy dessert and live bluegrass music. There will be a used book sale and activities and games for children like face painting, a fishing pond, and a chance to ride in a fire truck.

Red Cross Donors Needed

The American Red Cross continues to experience a severe blood shortage. Donors are needed now to ensure blood is available for patients in need of lifesaving care this month.  

As a thank-you, all who come to give now to July 31 will receive a $10 Gift Card via email and will also receive automatic entry for a chance to win gas for a year (a $5,000 value).Additionally, all who come to donate throughout the entire month of July will be automatically entered for a chance to win a trip for four to Cedar Point or Knott’s Berry Farm.  

Donate on August 4, 12:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., Cashmere United Methodist Church, 213 S. Division Street and on August 5, 2 p.m.-7 p.m., LDS, 10170 Titus Road, Leavenworth.

Learn how to make Block Prints at WRI’s workshop

Join Wenatchee River Institute’s (WRI) workshop on Tuesday, August 10, 5-7 pm at WRI. This workshop will be focused on Block Printing where you will make a reusable relief print of your own creation. This class is limited to 20 participants, costing $30 for WRI members and $35 for non-members. The Wenatchee Area Genealogical Society

Will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, August 9, 2 p.m. We will go hybrid, if  you are comfortable with an in-person meeting, come to the Douglas PUD Auditorium, 1151 Valley Mall Parkway, East Wenatchee.
