Community Picnic in Leavenworth to feature Aug. 4 candidates

LEAVENWORTH — A local civic group Upper Valley Indivisible will be hosting a picnic in the park with some local candidates on July 27.

The picnic aims to offer an opportunity to meet some of the candidates for the upcoming Aug. 4 primary, including Chelan County Commissioner District 2 candidate Clint Strand, District 12 State Representative candidate Stacy Willoughby, Chelan County Clerk candidate Sandra Arechiga, Chelan PUD commissioner candidate Colleen Frei and Chelan County auditor candidate Brian Brett. A representative from Congresswoman Kim Schrier’s office is also planning to attend, according to organizers.

Community members are invited to bring a picnic dinner, mingle with their friends and neighbors, and enjoy free ice cream and live music by Seth Garrido. The picnic will take place from 5 p.m to 7:30 p.m. at Lion’s Club Park in Leavenworth. The election event will have campaign signs and resources on how to support candidates.
