LEAVENWORTH — Icicle Creek Center for the Arts (ICCA) hosted the 2026 Leavenworth Community Earth Day Fair on April 26, bringing together art, music and environmental stewardship in celebration of Earth Day.
This year was a first for ICCA hosting the annual Earth Day fair, which is typically held at Enchantment Park. The event was organized in partnership with Eastside Rebuild.
“We have always wanted to partner with Icicle Creek Center for the Arts, and this was just a great opportunity to make that happen. The setting is beautiful, and they have a stage, which is a huge bonus,” said Ariahna Jones, former executive director of Waste Loop, whose waste reduction education programs recently merged into Sustainable NCW. Waste Loop is now transitioning into Eastside Rebuild, which continues as a separate nonprofit focused on sustainable building materials, a tool library, and repair cafes.
“It's just an opportunity to get the community out here, using the space, and reiterating that this is a place for the entire community to come visit,” added Jones.
The day featured live music on ICCA’s Meadow Stage by the Welter Brothers, Umami Dearest and the Chumlilies. Nearly 40 vendors appeared for the event, including local nonprofits, artisans and environmental agencies. Wenatchee Valley Astronomy Club brought a telescope to view sun spots, Cascade Fisheries made art prints with fish and LINK Transit offered a free shuttle from town. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in yoga and Tai Chi classes.
“We love inviting the community out to this space, and we're trying to offer more of a variety for people to come out to enjoy the space and have music and local boost organizations,” said ICCA Patron Services Manager Shila Reeves.
