Filing week opens May 5 for Chelan County local offices

WENATCHEE — Filing Week for the 2025 election cycle in Chelan County will run from May 5 through May 9.

The weeklong period allows residents interested in serving in local government to file for candidacy in advance of the Aug. 5 Primary Election and the Nov. 4 General Election. A range of positions across multiple jurisdictions will be on the ballot this year.

“There are several positions up for election in most local districts throughout the county,” said County Auditor Skip Moore. “These positions include port, city, school, hospital, cemetery, parks & recreation, fire, water and sewer commissioners.”

Many of the available roles require no filing fee and have minimal qualifications beyond residency. The only qualifications are to be a registered voter within the district and to be willing to serve.

A full list of positions open for filing, as well as detailed information about eligibility and instructions, is available from the Chelan County Elections Department at (509) 667-6808 or online at www.Elections.ChelanCountyWa.gov.

The filing process is open to all registered voters who meet the criteria for their desired office.
