CHELAN COUNTY — A region-wide heat advisory is in effect for Tuesday, July 21, through Wednesday, July 22, as temperatures across central Washington are expected to reach triple digits.

According to the National Weather Service, the area can expect daytime highs in the mids 90s to near 100 degrees starting Tuesday, reaching into the upper 90s and low 100s on Wednesday. Limited overnight relief is expected across the lower elevations, with temperatures remaining around the mid 60s to mid 70s.

The National Weather Service recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying in air-conditioned rooms, keeping out of the sun and checking on relatives, neighbors and others who may be vulnerable to heat related illness.

In light of the forecast, the Cashmere Farmers Market, which meets outside the Cashmere Museum every Wednesday evening, will push back its hours of operation by one hour on July 22. The market will start at 5 p.m. and go until 8 p.m., featuring a Kids Market and live music by the Chumlilies.
