Leavenworth area SWAT operation results in peaceful arrest

LEAVENWORTH – On Feb. 19, the East Cascade SWAT Team executed a successful operation along Highway 2 at Deep Powder Lane in Leavenworth, aiming to apprehend a potentially dangerous individual. Sheriff Mike Morrison announced that the subject was taken into custody without complications, ensuring that public safety remained uncompromised throughout the procedure.

Traffic was rerouted to Winton Road for about an hour to facilitate the operation. The Sheriff's Office extends its gratitude to the Washington State Patrol for their critical role in managing traffic during the diversion.
