Leavenworth Farmers Market opens for summer season

Posted

LEAVENWORTH — The Leavenworth Community Farmers Market returned for the 2026 season on May 9, featuring fresh flowers, produce, baked goods and art.

The Leavenworth market is organized by Cascade Community Markets, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes health, equity, and sustainability by creating vibrant markets in the valley that foster community connection and support local farmers and artisans.

The Leavenworth Community Farmers Market will run every Saturday throughout the summer, ending Oct. 10. The market is held at Lions Club Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cascade Community Markets says it can validate one-hour free parking at the info booth for either the Dragontail (D) lot or the Enchantments (E) lot behind the library. Free market parking is no longer available in the Freund (F) Lot, also known as the pool parking lot.

Its sister market, Cashmere Community Farmers Market, will return on June 3 at the Cashmere Museum, 600 Cotlets Way. This year, the Cashmere market will be on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. More information about both markets can be found on the Cascade Community Markets website: cascademarkets.org.

The summer markets accept all Washington State food access currencies: Senior and WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program, SNAP EBT, SUN Bucks (Summer EBT), and SNAP Market Match, according to the organization’s website. Shoppers should visit the manager booth to redeem EBT and receive SNAP Market Match.
