The Leavenworth Community Farmers Market will kick off the 2023 season on Thursday, June 1 from 4-7 p.m. Located at the Cascade School District Offices, 330 Evans Street, the opening day will feature 20+ vendors selling flowers, garden starts, vegetables, mushrooms, goats’ milk, beef, jams, and artisan products such as pottery, jewelry, skin care and soaps. There is still space at the market for more vendors, especially those selling eggs, meat, fish, baked goods, bread, cheese, or ready-to-eat foods. Vendor information can be found on the Market's website. The Farmers Market will also host live music every Thursday this season, opening with Duane Harbick and the Ruthless Mercenaries on June 1. On June 22, the Market will host its first Kids Makers Market of the season, a monthly event where kids can register to sell their arts and crafts. You can visit the Farmers Market website to book a performance slot or register for the Kids Makers Markets. The Leavenworth Community Farmers Market accepts SNAP EBT and doubles the value of SNAP EBT value by up to $25 per market day through a state funded program called SNAP Market Match. Many farms at the market also accept Senior and WIC FMNP for specific products, via the new QR code system. The Farmer’s Market is a program of the nonprofit Cascade Community Markets and is supported by donations from local residents and businesses. To support your local farmers markets and ensure their vitality and longevity, visit the market's manager booth, and become a Friend of the Farmers Market.
