Leavenworth Library to host Birdfest Poster Contest art show

LEAVENWORTH — The Leavenworth Library will showcase the top 20 entries from the Birdfest Poster Contest in an art show running from May 6 through June 13 in the Fireside Room.

In addition to the top entries, the exhibit will feature a display of other submissions from local students in Leavenworth. The Birdfest Poster Contest invites students in kindergarten through eighth grade to create original artwork featuring avian subjects. The winning entry will be used as the official poster for the annual Birdfest celebration.

The art show offers visitors an opportunity to view the creativity and talent of young artists while highlighting the community’s connection to the natural environment.

The Birdfest Poster Contest encourages youth participation in the arts while promoting awareness of bird species and conservation efforts. The exhibit will be open to the public during the library’s regular operating hours.
