Hi, I am Cindy (Blackburn) Puckett, 65, born and raised in Leavenworth, a full-time employee at Dans Food Market, and I work hard in customer service. I am running for Hospital/Cascade Medical Commissioner Position #2. I will work hard at patient service and well-being; patients come first before all.  I will work to meet the needs of staffing so there is always someone to ask questions and get answers. I support the EMS Program just as Bruce Williams, my opponent, does.  My mother, Arleen Blackburn, was instrumental in getting the P.T. Pool, CT Mammography/Bone Density Machine, and the EMS Snowmobile program. And most importantly, the new hospital for our Area. With the Open Public Meetings Act, I want to see more transparency of financial issues so that taxpayers know exactly how their money is being used.  A patient should never have to be put on hold for up to an hour. One patient has had trouble getting their very needed prescription filled, I will work hard to correct that.  I want employees to feel safe and that if they have a concern, they will be heard. and not have a fear of losing their jobs. I served on the Cascade School Board for eight years, so I understand the process and completely enjoyed it.
