WENATCHEE — A public forum examining Christian nationalism and its influence on civic life in North Central Washington is scheduled for July 6 in Wenatchee.
The forum will be hosted by NCW Channel Z, First United Methodist Church Wenatchee,
and Confluence Indivisible, with keynote speaker Pastor Aaron Musser of Leavenworth’s Faith Lutheran Church.
Organizers say the forum, "Demystifying Christian Nationalism,” aims to give residents information about Christian nationalism and its impact on civic institutions, including the separation of church and state, fair representation, and freedom of religion, checks and balances, and individual freedoms. Musser’s keynote will help attendees understand what Christian nationalism teaches, how it spreads, and why it matters for everyday civic life.
Organizers said the event is intended to examine a political movement rather than criticize religious faith. It will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 6 at the First United Methodist Church in Wenatchee. The event is a follow up to a largely attended event held in Leavenworth on June 14.
