Nutcracker contest open to student builders

LEAVENWORTH — The Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum is accepting entries for its student nutcracker contest, with judging scheduled for Saturday, June 27.

Students are invited to create their own nutcracker designs and build the nutcrackers themselves.

The contest includes three divisions: first through fourth grades, fifth through eighth grades and ninth through 12th grades.

First-place winners will receive $100, second-place winners will receive $50 and third-place winners will receive $25 in each division.

Entry forms and additional information are available at KidsLoveNutcrackers.com. Forms also can be picked up at the Nutcracker Museum, 735 Front St., Leavenworth.
