WENATCHEE — Several conservation groups working on salmon recovery efforts in Chelan County are requesting public participation in a newly launched survey designed to gauge awareness and perception of local habitat restoration initiatives.
The survey, which is available in English and Spanish, aims to collect feedback from residents to help conservation groups assess the effectiveness and public reception of ongoing projects. It can be accessed through the Chelan County Natural Resources Department’s website at https://www.co.chelan.wa.us/natural-resources/pages/education-and-outreach-natural-resources.
According to organizers, the survey is expected to take no more than five minutes to complete and will remain open until June 1, 2025. Responses will be reviewed in aggregate by participating organizations to help guide future salmon habitat restoration efforts. Individual responses will remain confidential.
The survey is designed to "gauge public awareness, perception, and preferences in an effort to help participating conservation groups ensure efficiency and efficacy in individual and collective efforts," according to information provided by Chelan County Natural Resources.
Residents are encouraged to share their candid thoughts and perceptions regarding salmon habitat restoration efforts across the county.
