LEAVENWORTH – The second annual bikeswap hosted by Eastside Cycleworks will return on March 29, offering new and experienced cyclists an opportunity to get a deal on a used bike.
Last year, the Leavenworth bike shop collected over 60 used bikes for the swap. This year it is hoping to reach 100.
Sellers can drop-off their bikes at Eastside Cycleworks between March 23 and 28. Sellers can set the price for their bicycle, and can choose between receiving a check for 80 percent of the sale value or store credit for 100 percent of the sale value. Reasonable pricing is encouraged. The swap will accept any kind of bike in safe, ridable condition.
Shoppers are encouraged to arrive at the swap early for the best selection and deals. They can enter through the front door of the shop to reach the back parking lot, where the used bikes will be on display. An ID and a credit card will be required to test ride any of the bikes.
The bike swap will open at 9 a.m. on March 29. Eastside Cycleworks is located at 215 14th Street in Leavenworth. A one-day sale will also be taking place inside the store during the swap.
