Smoke holds off for annual Autumn Leaf Festival

Posted

LEAVENWORTH — Crowds gathered along streets and on balconies to watch the numerous floats, performers and vehicles make their way down US-2 and Front Street during the Autumn Leaf parade on Sept. 27.

Smoke from the nearby Labor Mountain and Lower Sugarloaf fires held off just enough for Leavenworth’s longest running festival to keep the celebration alive. Festivities continued after the parade with a chicken dance led by the 2025 Royal Lady Sandy Houston, music from the Leavenworth Alphorns, and more.
