Social Walking Program in Leavenworth's Festhalle returns in January

LEAVENWORTH – Social Walking Program in the Festhalle will return on Jan. 6, offering a welcoming indoor space for locals to stay active throughout the winter, no matter the weather.

From Jan. 6 through the end of winter, the Festhalle will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. for locals to maintain their walking routines in a safe and dry environment. Participants can walk laps around the Festhalle, with the option to incorporate an incline with the steps of the stage for an added challenge.

The program is free to attend and open to all locals. However, the program cannot accommodate children at this time. Parking is free until 9 a.m., when meters are activated. Participants should bring dry walking shoes and enter through the middle door on the Front Street side of the building.

The program will continue through the winter months. For more information, call Sharon Waters: 509-548-7939.
