Explore beautiful murals, historic markers and more as you discover the answers to clues in a fun way to spend a Saturday morning while supporting the Leavenworth community. On April 3, 2021, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Lions Club Park in Leavenworth located between the swimming pool and City Hall/Library on Highway 2, the Leavenworth Lions Club, to support its diabetes and vision programs, is organizing a fund-raiser named “The Great Cultural and Historical Information Scavenger Hunt” for the Leavenworth area. This is an event that requires both driving and walking.

Last moment registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Clue packet handout and the starting whistles (teams leave at staggered times) begin at 10 a.m. Teams of up to four persons will be provided around 40 -50 clues that will take them from the start at Leavenworth’s Lions Club Park to historically important sites and memorials as well as art and a few humorous locations to collect answers to the clues. There will be different clues and geographical arrangements so teams are not likely to conflict or crowd along the way. Teams will meet up at Lions Club Park after about two hours for scoring and awarding of prizes. Prizes include cash, an annual membership to the Greater Leavenworth Museum, as well as books on local Leavenworth history provided by the museum board.

The cost is only $10 per adult. Less for Lions members and children. To the degree feasible given the pandemic situation, people will be grouped into teams of four persons. Sandwiches and chips to be provided. Early registration can be done by calling 509-470-5271 or contacting any local Lions Club member. Limited to 50 teams. Cash or checks only.  Questions?  Call 509-470-5271
